WestJet Service Update: Information for YXS Travellers

WestJet and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), representing WestJet cabin crew, have reached a tentative agreement, and the airline is gradually resuming operations across its network.
While this is a positive step forward, WestJet advises that it will take several days to fully restore service as aircraft and crews are repositioned. During this recovery period, some flights across the WestJet network may continue to experience delays, cancellations or itinerary changes.
WestJet Encore flights serving Prince George Airport (YXS) continue to operate. However, passengers travelling beyond Prince George on connecting WestJet flights are encouraged to continue checking the status of their complete itinerary before travelling to the airport.

Before Travelling to YXS
If you’re travelling with WestJet, we encourage you to:
- Check the status of every flight in your itinerary before leaving for the airport.

- Allow extra time and remain flexible, as some schedules may continue to change while WestJet restores its network.
If Your Flight Has Been Cancelled
If your upcoming flight has been cancelled:
- WestJet will continue working to reaccommodate affected guests on the next available flight, including flights operated by other airlines where available.
- Visit Manage Trips to review your options or request a refund if you no longer wish to travel.
- If you booked through a travel agency or third-party website, please contact them directly for assistance.
- If you booked a vacation package, please contact WestJet Vacations, WestJet Vacations Québec or Sunwing Vacations for assistance with your booking.
