Aviation Refueler

The Prince George Airport Authority Inc. invites proposals from qualified Proponents for the design, manufacture, and supply of an aviation refueler at the Prince George Airport (YXS).

RFP Schedule (Subject to change at the Airport Authority’s sole discretion):

  1. Issue of RFP:  August 23, 2024
  2. Deadline to submit Component A – Receipt Confirmation Form: August 30, 2024 11:00 PST
  3. Deadline to submit questions and inquiries:  September 06, 2024 14:00 PST
  4. Airport Authority responds to questions and inquiries: September 13, 2024
  5. Deadline to submit proposals: (Closing) September 23, 2024 14:00 PST
  6. Selection of Preferred Proponent(s): October 04, 2024

Term:
The fully manufactured aviation refueler, along with all necessary documentation and certifications, must be delivered to the Prince George Airport no later than March 24, 2025.

Major Construction Projects

Cargo Warehouse

A 25,000 square foot state of the art cargo warehouse opened its doors in November 2015. The facility is fully rented out at this time.

Rosenau Transport Ltd. is occupying 60% of the space. Rosenau provides much needed road feeder service and can provide cargo container build up and break down. They offer their core trucking services for all potential air cargo shipments and can perform all of the handling in the warehouse for shipments moving in and out of Prince George. The cargo facility provides a secure area to sort and store product.

The facility is being approved as a Canada Customs Bonded facility in order to handle international shipments and provide Customs clearance at the airport. It is located near Boundary Road with access to both Highway’s 97 and 16 and is on the Hazardous Goods Route.

Features include 11 truck dock door and 3 ground level doors and 1 ramp accessible door. There is also access to the aircraft operating area.
