Escape the Snow and Head to Mexico

Starting this Saturday, Northern BC residents can escape the recent blast of winter and be on a hot, sandy beach in just over five hours. WestJet is once again operating the non-stop flight to Puerto Vallarta every Saturday from November 3, 2012 to April 27th, 2013.

President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority, John Gibson, says “We are thrilled to see the snow to sand service continue out of YXS this season. Winter came in with a bang this year and those travellers looking for sun can do so quickly as of this weekend.”

“We’re pleased to offer non-stop seasonal service from Prince George to Puerto Vallarta once again this winter,” said Robert Palmer, WestJet’s Manager of Public Relations. “This service continues to be extremely popular and given the range capabilities of our Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft, PVR remains the most viable option for the region in the immediate future.”

The first Mexico bound flight leaves Prince George THIS Saturday at 10:45am. This is the fourth season WestJet has operated the service out of YXS, Air Transat ran the service prior to that.
