Snow to Sand Service Returns Again This Year

We have seen a few dustings of snow across the region and what better way to escape the inevitable winter blues than to hop on a direct flight to Mexico. WestJet is once again operating the non-stop flight to Puerto Vallarta starting this Saturday, November 5th.

President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority, John Gibson, says “This is a very popular service year after year and we are thrilled to see the snow to sand service continue out of YXS.”

“We’re very pleased that our non-stop seasonal service between Prince George and Puerto Vallarta remains so popular,” said Robert Palmer, WestJet’s manager of public relations. “And we want to take this opportunity to express our gratitude and appreciate to the people of Prince George and the surrounding area for choosing to fly with us. Enjoy the sun!”

The service will be available every Saturday until the 28th of April and fares start at $299 each way. The first Mexico bound flight leaves Prince George THIS Saturday at 11:15am. Flights are just over five hours each way.

This is the third season WestJet has been operating the service out of YXS, Air Transat ran the service for a few years before that.
