Carson Air Flight 66: Update 2/Final

(Prince George, BC) – North Vancouver RCMP has confirmed the bodies of the two pilots from Carson Air Flight 66 have been removed from the wreckage of the aircraft. .

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, friends and colleagues of the two Carson Air pilots involved in Monday’s crash,” said John Gibson, President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA). “Tragic events such as this impact everyone in the tight knit aviation sector.”

The Carson Air Flight 66 departed YVR at 06:43 April 13, 2015 bound for Prince George Airport (YXS). Carson Air Flight 66 was a regular cargo flight using a Metro II aircraft with two pilots on board. YXS was notified that Nav Canada’s Kamloops Flight Information Centre had lost contact with the aircraft shortly after take-off. Debris from the aircraft was located in the North Shore Mountains.
