Update August 18, 2025: Air Canada Mainline Operations Suspended – What it Means for YXS
Air Canada has suspended its mainline operations due to the ongoing labour situation involving the airline and CUPE, the union representing Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge flight attendants.
What This Means for YXS Travellers
Flights to and from Prince George (YXS) under the Air Canada brand are operated by Jazz Aviation LP as Air Canada Express. These flights are not impacted and continue to operated as scheduled. Passengers travelling with other airlines are also unaffected by this suspension.
Travellers with connections on Air Canada or Air Canada Rouge beyond YXS are encouraged to check their flight status directly with the airline.
What Travellers Can Do
- Check your flight status directly with Air Canada at www.aircanada.com.
- Do not come to the airport unless you have a confirmed itinerary with another airline or an active reservation with Air Canada Express.
- Go to www.aircanada.com/action for rebooking options or updates.
Airport operations at YXS continue as normal for unaffected carriers and flights.
