Temporary Closure of Power Up Room at YXS

Prince George, BC – The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) advises that the Power Up Room, which includes workstations and seating within the terminal, will be temporarily closed to the public beginning February 2, 2026, to accommodate construction work.

The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks. During this period, the space will be fully off-limits to the public. Construction activity will involve general demolition and renovation work and will take place during regular daytime hours.

Other seating and passenger areas throughout the terminal remain available.

Additional Passenger Information

PGAA recognizes that travellers have experienced operational disruptions within the terminal, including delays related to checked baggage screening. While the Power Up Room closure is unrelated, the Airport Authority continues to work with the Canadian Air Transport Security (CATSA) to support system reliability and improve the passenger experience. Some elements of this work depend on the availability of specialized equipment and parts; however, efforts remain focused on reducing impacts to travellers wherever possible.
