PRINCE GEORGE AIRPORT AUTHORITY COVID-19: UPDATE TWO
Prince George, BC – As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) is informing the public of some operational changes.
“We are starting to see flight cancellations in and out of PG as people are self isolating under the recommendation of Public Health,” says President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority Gordon Duke. “We continue to monitor the situation closely and keep in contact with our airline partners in regards to schedule changes.”
Canadian airlines are making significant reductions and, in some cases, elimination of international and transborder flying. With that in mind, it is important to note the last Puerto Vallarta flight of the 2019/2020 winter season is taking place Sunday, March 22nd. All passengers are reminded to self isolate for 14 days after their return from travel outside of Canada.
Passengers flying in and out of YXS are advised to check our website, www.pgairport.ca, for up to date flight information. Airline websites are also a great source of information, especially when it comes to changing existing reservations.
The airport restaurant, BG Urban Grill, will be running on a reduced schedule and the food and beverage area in the Boarding Lounge will be closed until further notice.
In an effort to help promote social distancing, those picking up or dropping off passengers at the terminal can park in the Short Term Lot at no charge as long as you
accompany your vehicle at all times.
As this situation continues to evolve very rapidly, the PGAA will endeavour to keep all stakeholders informed of new developments.
