Prince George Airport Authority Appoints Geoff Ritchie as President & CEO
Prince George, BC – The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Geoff Ritchie as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective July 2, 2025.

Ritchie brings more than 30 years of international aviation experience, including senior leadership roles in airline operations, engineering, and airport development. A Royal Air Force-trained aeronautical engineer, Ritchie began his career investigating military and commercial aircraft incidents with the UK’s Department of Transport before holding executive roles with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. His leadership roles have spanned some of the world’s busiest and most complex aviation hubs, including London Heathrow and Amsterdam Schiphol.
Most recently, Ritchie was a member of the senior leadership team at Kelowna International Airport (YLW), where he led the airport’s Commercial department. His portfolio included capital projects, business and commercial development, air service strategy, and community engagement. He played a key role in YLW’s post-COVID air service recovery, helping position it as one of Canada’s fastest-growing airports.
“I’m proud to be joining the Prince George Airport Authority and excited to work alongside the incredible team at YXS,” said Geoff Ritchie. “This airport plays a vital role in northern BC’s economic and social connectivity, and I look forward to building on its role as a key hub for air travel and economic growth in the region.”
“Geoff’s appointment marks an exciting new chapter for the Prince George Airport Authority,” said Derek Dougherty, Chair of the PGAA Board of Directors. “His global perspective, industry knowledge, and commitment to collaboration will be invaluable as we continue advancing service, infrastructure, and community connection at YXS.”
The PGAA Board of Directors engaged PFM Executive Search to lead a nationwide recruitment process that prioritized inclusivity, vision, and industry experience.
The Board of Directors extends its sincere thanks to Ms. Angus for her dedicated leadership and unwavering commitment to delivering high-level service to our airport community during her term as Interim CEO. We are deeply grateful to her and the entire YXS team for their outstanding efforts and collaboration as the Board advanced the recruitment process. Ms. Angus, who graciously stepped into the interim role, led with professionalism, clarity, and care throughout this transitional period and we look forward to her continued contributions as she returns to her permanent role in July.
