New Non-Stop Flight from Prince George to Edmonton Takes Off This Summer
Prince George, BC – The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) is pleased to share that WestJet is launching a new non-stop route between Prince George (YXS) and Edmonton International Airport (YEG) starting July 5, 2025.
This twice-weekly service, operated by WestJet Encore, offers Northern B.C. residents another convenient option to connect with Alberta’s capital city, whether for business, visiting friends and family, or further travel through WestJet’s growing network.
“This route strengthens Prince George’s access to Canadian and beyond,” said Sabrina Angus, Interim President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority. “We’re thrilled WestJet continues to invest in our region. More air service means more opportunity for economic growth, tourism, and better travel options for the people who call Northern B.C. home.”
The new Edmonton flights will be operated using WestJet Encore’s 78-seat De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft and will run twice weekly starting July 5, 2025.
This announcement marks another step forward in PGAA’s ongoing efforts to grow regional connectivity and improve the passenger experience at YXS.
