Central Mountain Air Celebrates the Inaugural Non-Stop Flight from Prince George to Calgary

Prince George, BC – Central Mountain Air (CMA) is pleased to announce the successful launch of its inaugural non-stop flight from Prince George (YXS) to Calgary (YYC), effective March 3, 2025. This new route enhances regional connectivity, offering passengers a seamless and convenient non-stop travel option between the two cities. It also provides enhanced connections to other destinations served by CMA.

“We are thrilled with the launch of our Prince George to Calgary route. This expansion will not only benefit residents of Prince George but also provide greater connectivity for our passengers traveling from Terrace and Fort Nelson through Prince George.” said Dixie Marchuk, Airports Manager at Central Mountain Air. “With this route, travelers can enjoy more convenient access to Calgary and beyond, making business and leisure travel easier than ever.”

The new service operates four times per week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays), with flights arriving in Prince George each morning and departing in the afternoon for Calgary.

“When we look back at our 2023 passenger numbers, we saw the demand for Calgary double in 2024,” says Sabrina Angus, Interim President & CEO for the Prince George Airport Authority. “This suggests a strong interest in that market and we believe that it lends itself well to continued growth for both Prince George and Calgary.”

CMA remains committed to providing reliable and comfortable regional air service, and the addition of this route is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility across Canada.
