Prince George, BC – A new and revamped website was officially launched today by the Prince George Airport Authority, offering passengers easier access to flight information, personal testimonials from customers, tenant profiles, and separate passenger and logistics portals.
“As a result of funding provided by the Federal Government in April, we have been able to move forward with many aspects of our marketing initiatives. This has allowed us to remain competitive within our industry as we continue with an aggressive air cargo marketing plan”, states John Gibson, President and CEO for the PGAA.
The website, located at www.pgairport.ca was designed and developed by Splash Media Group (SMG). A user-friendly website was created that now allows passengers to view the Flight Information Display System (FIDS) from the site’s home page. Additionally, passengers are encouraged to submit their stories of how YXS has played a role in their life, through the “What’s Your Story” campaign.
“Thousands of stories happen within our walls everyday at YXS. We’re continually told of touching memories, teary good-byes, exciting hellos and much more. We’ve managed to capture only a fraction of what we’ve been told and we’ve highlighted them throughout our websites and other marketing material”, says Mike Davis, Manager of Communications and Business Development for the PGAA.
Most notable however, is the website’s separate portal for Logistics, located by accessing the Logistics tab on the home page, or by visiting www.pgairportlogistics.ca. “With the growth and development of our Air Cargo initiative, we felt it was essential to host all of our information in one area, making it accessible to both the public and our industry partners. This will help us fully participate in and compete for global market opportunities,” finishes Davis.
